Transfer news: Arsenal are vying with Turkish side Feberbahce for the signature of Benfica defender Lorenzo Melgarejo, according to the player’s agent.
Paraguay international Melgarejo, 22, is a full-back and is reportedly on Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger’s summer wish list.
Melgarejo’s agent, Juan Gabriel Appleyard, claims Arsenal have enquired after his client, but says they are yet to put a concrete offer to Benfica.
“Arsenal and Fenerbahce have enquired about Melgarejo,” he told Radio Monumental.
“But so far there has been nothing concrete.”
